This update includes changes to the HOME key press action and video quality updates. It also introduces a banner indicating low network bandwidth for streaming UI , support for client side spinner and SDK library updates.

'HOME' key update

The hyperscale platform supports launching the application set within the tenant configuration upon HOME key press.

Tenants with a launcher application configured will move back to the launcher when HOME key is pressed.

Tenants without a launcher – will reload the configured application.

This navigation do not require any application change and is managed by the platform.

Video Quality increase - 5Mbps

The hyperscale platform now supports 5Mbps maximum bitrate for ABR playback. previous value was 4Mbps.

Low network bandwidth Indicator in UI

The hypersclae platform provides a new banner indicating to the user that the UI is streaming below the minimum bitrate set by the platform, currently 1Mbps. The banner will be dismissed when the network conditions are back to adequate.

This banner is available from connector version 23.42.18 onwards.

Spinner

The hyperscale Platform provides a client side implemented spinner which will be shown when the ABR buffer has exhausted, as well as during transitions to the connection loss OSDs.

This spinner is available from connector version 23.41.19 onwards.
