Deployment Overview
Options for deploying your app to production
Once you have developed an application, you have several options for deploying your app to production.
Service Providers
You can use Senza to operate a video platform as a service provider. You can purchase cloud connector devices and distribute them to your viewers. Your app will be the primary app on the device, so when a viewers turns it on they will see your experience. There's no approval process or revenue splits, so you're totally in control of your operations. Each device can be registered to one viewer, so you don't need to worry about password sharing.
The billing model for the cloud service is simple: you simply pay for the number of minutes that your viewers spend in foreground mode using your web app. When the user is streaming video in background mode, the service is free.
For deployments of fewer than 100,000 devices, you can contact one of our resellers to purchase devices and set up a tenant to deploy your app.
For deployments of over 100,000 devices, contact Synamedia to discuss your deployment needs.
Content Applications
You can also work with Synamedia to add your video streaming app to the Content Hub. When users of Senza video services press the apps button on the remote, they will be taken to the Content Hub where they will see your app.
Content Hub apps are billed in a similar way as primary apps. When the viewer is using your app in foreground mode you are billed by the minute, and when they are streaming video in background mode the service is free.
You can contact Synamedia if you are interested in deploying your app in the Content Hub.
